You can register on our website (https://mjlibrary.in/) by following these steps
Step 1: Click on the “Become member in MJ Library” Button on the top-right hand side of the Home page. This will take you to registration page.
Step 2: Choose whether you want to register to the digital library alone or want to become a member of the MJ Library. If you choose to register for the digital library, fill out your name, mobile number, gender, education details, date of birth and then submit. An OTP will be sent as SMS to your Mobile number for verification. By entering the OTP you can set your password. Then you can access the Digital Library.
Step 3: If you choose to become an MJ Library member, you will have to fill out your name, mobile number, gender, education details, date of birth etc. Then upload your KYC document.
Step 5: KYC will be verified and approved by librarian. Once it will be verified, you will get notification on your mobile no., Also you will get notified through your Digital Library logged in account.
Step 6: You can pay online, after that receipt and ID card will be generated for your membership and will be delivered to your mobile no.
Step 7: If you want to reserve the reading space in MJ Library (Main Branch), you can reserve online by choosing the option (male/female).The reading space can be reserved, based on the current availability. If you are in the waiting list, you can check your status in ‘My Transaction’ and you will be notified in your Mobile number once the space is available.

If you are already a registered user, Access the Digital Library web URL by connecting to Desktop, Laptop, or Mobile device on the internet. And click on the Login Button on the Home page

The username is generally the mobile number, using which you have registered to the platform. Unless a special username has been provided to you by the Administrators of the platform.

You can request a password using the forgot password option by entering your mobile number/username. An OTP will be sent as SMS to your registered Mobile number, Enter the OTP and choose a new password.

You can change your name after logging in to the system. Click on the face icon on the top right side. In the drop-down menu, pick my profile, in which, you can make all account detail changes that you wish.

The digital library has the following types of curated content:
1. eBooks - Digital Books
2. Videos - Videos on different subjects
3. Simulations - Interactive experiments
4. Audio Clips - Audios on different topics
5. Journal - Published scientific works on various topics
The MJ Library and its branches have hard copies of books, journals, newspapers, and magazines. A digital catalogue with search facility is available in the digital library platform for members to search, issue, reserve or renew remotely.

After logging in, you will be led to your dashboard. On scrolling down, you will see tabs on the left side of the page, which lets you filter your content on the basis of category. You can also use the filter option found below the search bar to filter content on the basis of the subject (science, arts), content format (eBooks, videos), and language (English, Hindi).

You can reserve your favorite book online by simply clicking “reserve” button placed on book icon. After successful reservation you will get notification for confirmation of book reserved. However, you can reserve only those books which have more than three copies available in library.

You can renew your book only after 10 days of issuance of book and before due date of that book. The function of renew will be enabled only after above condition at your dashboard page. The books can be renewed only if 2 or more copies are available in the library.

Once your membership will expire, your deposit money will be credited in same mode of payment back into your account. If you have paid cash, you will have to come library to get it back.

Yes, you can pay your fine online by login into your library page in desktop, laptop or mobile. You can also pay your fine at KIOSK placed at MJ library.

You can download MJ library’s mobile app from play store or apple store and use it by logging in. You can read books, watch videos, listen audios. You can save your favorite books also.

You can use wifi at MJ library by login in to wifi page of it with your mobile no. You will get OTP for verification. After successful OTP verification you can use wi-fi at MJ library.

Any user with a valid mobile number can become a member of the Digital Library. To become a member of M J Library, fill the registration form, upload the valid KYC document, and pay the registration fees as per the package selected.

The minimum recommendation to access the digital library are as follows:
• Hardware: Desktop, Laptop or Mobile with an internet connection
• Operating System: Windows 7 or 10, Linux, Mac OS X
• Internet Browser: Internet Explorer 10 or higher version, Latest version of Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Apple Safari.

No! You can access the online application by using a web URL & becoming a member of the platform. There is no need for any software to be downloaded.

You can send an email or call us using the information available at the Contact Info page, which is available in the footer of the home page. You can also use the contact information available in the forgot password / Register page.

Please ensure that you are logging in with the user id and password with which you had registered. Passwords are case sensitive. In case you have forgotten your password, go to the relevant option to get a new one. For other problems contact us at feedbackmj@ahmedabadcity.gov.in.

There could be problems with your internet connections. Please check if anyone else has the access to your user Id and password. In such a case, you may consider changing your password.

You can see your books checkout and checkin history under “Book issued” tab placed at dashboard. You can also see if any fine imposed for issued book under same section. You can check your reserved book under “Reserved book” tab placed at your dashboard.

No, you cannot download, print, or email eBooks. However, our mReader comes with a note-taking tool that you can use while reading. These notes can be downloaded.

You can click on the charges, checkout, and search history tabs found in your dashboard to keep track of your fines (if any), pending membership fees, what books are on checkout list and their due dates, among other things.

In the MJ library website, you have the option of using the site in two languages - English and Gujarati. You can click on the world icon on the top-right section of the page, which will automatically change the language for you.

After you log in, you can scroll your mouse onto any book or video you see. You will have three options - like, save, and read. Click on read and you will be led to an integrated mReader on which you can read.
